"The Shift of Ages" Project

Back in 2004, on the day of the deadly Indian Ocean tsunami, I was on this side of the globe, in Tikal, Guatemala, having a meltdown of my own. Among the ancient Mayan temples, I found an indescribable bond with the Maya and felt my soul coming home. As a Western yogini, I perceived an uncanny connectedness between the yogis and the Maya of Central America. Both cultures are soul-centric and can teach us volumes about living life to our fullest potential.

Presently, my focus is on the launch of an unprecedented film about an extraordinary man in extraordinary times, Grandfather Cirilo Perez Oxlaj, the Grand Elder of the Maya. This is the Elder who answered all my questions, laughed, danced, prayed and cried with us as we journeyed through his sacred land, Guatemala. He baptized us with the sacred waters of the Candalaria Caves and divulged our soul's purpose by reading our Mayan Cross birth chart. He asked that we not twist his words if we chose to bring his messages to the Western world. I made this choice and have been honored with my attempts to fulfill that role, humbled and gratified by the astonishing interactions that each of my teaching opportunities has brought my way.

The launch of this film is a daunting task. This is a low-budget indie film up that hopes to educate and mobilize the masses towards a soulful, beautiful and sustainable way of harmonious living. The story of Don Alejandro, coupled with authentic Mayan prophecies, deserve direct transmission with humanity. "The Shift of the Ages" is the vehicle that will bring this wisdom to the forefront. This film's promise is to assuage the fears and frustrations inherent in modern society. My efforts are focused on the outreach of his message to anyone open to listening.
